Holy Convocation
28th May to 1st June 2010
The signs of the time are telling of the impending return of our saviour Jesus Christ, yet the world is hopelessly stumbling from one disaster to the next. Never before have we seen and heard of so many ‘extreme’ weather conditions (earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions, forest fires, storms) and in every corner of the globe.
Meanwhile we as children of God, have spent too long operating in our own self-set limitations, underestimating God’s power and therefore under-achieving our potential. Regularly we need reminding that we serve the same God that delivered Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and the same awesome God that answered Elijah by fire and parted the Red Sea. We are ‘mere men’ like they were but the difference is that they operated by sight and the Word tells us that we have greater potential to unleash because we have to operate by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
It’s time to break down the strong-holds! Remove the mountains in our minds and claim our victories! Join us as we take time out to focus on rediscovering God’s omnipotent power. Planned highlights so far include:
Healing Service - Sabbath 29th May from 6.30 pm; conducted by Bishop Dr. W Treleven from Canada
Guest Speakers - Pastor H Green (Toronto, Canada) and Elder Martin (Leeds, UK)
Youth Service - “Superman does not exist – but Jesus does!”
Baptismal Service - Tuesday 1st June from 6:30pm
Full day services start from 9:30am till late (Sabbath, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday 31st May);
Meals – breakfast and lunch will be served on these days so feel free to come and maximise your time with us.
Evening services start from 6:30pm (Friday evening 28th May to Tuesday 1st June)
Come and let us share fellowship, rediscover God in a greater way and together receive blessings in the presence of the Lord!
